Melton Entertainment Park is a unique sporting, entertainment and community hub with a range of facilities operating 7 days a week. Facilities include a state of the art Harness Racing track, 300 seat Bistro, TAB Sports Bar, Gaming lounge, extensive Conference and Events space and a 41 room Mantra Hotel on site. History The decision of Harness Racing Victoria to explore options for a major new harness racing and entertainment complex in the Melton region arose directly from the industry’s Five-Year Strategic Plan, which was developed in 2001. The Plan identified the need for the industry to create “racing centres of excellence” in strategic locations. In addition, it highlighted a belief within the industry that Victoria lacked a true “metropolitan home” and that Harness Racing Victoria should investigate the ownership of a metropolitan harness racing complex.
