Take a road away from the norm and follow the signs to the often-unexplored Western Port side of the Mornington Peninsula. As you meander up the driveway and past the cascading vines, you are welcomed with the sight of an inspiring Grand Arch; a waved concrete structure, a 70-year-old Queensland King bottle tree and a doorway that offers a teasing glimpse of something remarkable. Pt. Leo Estate is indeed a visual feast for all who visit with art, rolling vineyards and ocean views commanding the horizon as far as the eye can see. From the moment guests arrive, they are taken by the sweeping views that emerge in front of them encapsulating glimpses of Phillip Island, across the 50-acre vineyard, landscapes of grazing cattle and an expansive 16-acre Sculpture Park with the vast Western Port - comprising a Cellar Door & Wine Terrace at one end and 'Laura', our fine dining restaurant to the other, the Pt. Leo Restaurant experience sits at the heart of this world-class venue. Our 50-acre vineyard stretches up the crest of Pt. Leo Estate and curves down towards the expanse of Western Port. The vines respond to the constant forces of nature -sunshine, rain, sweeping winds, cooling ocean breezes. Perhaps it is no surprise that -to us -each day is perfect, and each wine has its place. The vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris - all varieties which speak to the Mornington Peninsula. The winemaking at Pt. Leo Estate has had a deliberate, careful evolution with a view to producing fruits of exceptional quality.
